SLEDDING!

Alex's friend Ashley from across the street came to go sledding with us. They were both SO excited. Especially Alex since she lives in AZ and this is a VERY unique experience for her!

Dad is scoping out the sledding hill with the girls, it is quite the jump at the end and everyone is a little nervous about it. Alex, being new to the whole sledding thing, and realizing there is no squishy padding or seat belts on these things opted for a slower route to the bottom....Body sledding!

There was a smaller hill on the other side so we let the girls take Gabe down in the sled. Wow, he LOVED it!

Since there were a collection of broken sleds at the bottom of the hill, this seemed like a more enjoyable outcome to Alex.

She still went down the hill REALLY fast with no sled. The now started to melt the day before, and froze again overnight, so basically they were riding a hill of ice.
Its a plane! It's a penguin!... no... It's Alex!

The car ride home wasn't the highlight of the day. Both girls were sad to leave, and they were cold and ready for hot chocolate!

SUPRISE!

For as long as we can remember Alex has been asking for a suprise party. But, you can't give it to her when she asks for it right? So we waited. This year since she came up to Utah for her birthday, we thought it was perfect timing. All my family came and some of her Utah friends and we had a suprise Hannah Montana birthday party!

Hugs all around!

I know what your thinking, how is a cake that small going to feed 20 kids? It didn't. We'll just say there were some sacrifices made by the parents and a very lound whimper from Toby.

Opening presents, after all it is the whole reason you have a party right?

The birthday girl, 7 years old, a solid inch taller than last year and one new front tooth happier!

Thanks everyone for coming and helping us celebrate Alex's birthday! We love you all!

How do you tell if someone is a hard core partier?

If they still eat their birthday candy in their sleep. Yup, that is a sucker. She is out, RED sucker is going to drop at any moment on her beautifully clean WHITE shirt. Can you tell I am a mom? We took the picture quickly before we snuck the sucker out of her mouth.

You wanted a suprise party...right?

(Sorry about the red eye) Alex had an awesome suprise this year for birthday number 7. Hector told her that she and I were going to come to the event at his work to eat dinner with him. When we got there, instead of going to Hectors office, we went into a VERY dark auditorium. When Alex walked in, they flipped on the lights and the auditorium was filled with people who were attending the event, they all yelled suprise and sang Happy Birthday to Alex. She was stunned! She was a little dazed and looked a bit drunk as she tried to find Hector. She listened to the sing and said "thank you!" and then ran from the center of attention as fast as she could.

I took these pictures of Alex while we did our family pictures. I thought they were so cute and went so well together that I made a collage out of them!

Alexandria Grace

It was a particularly sunny day and we were enjoying our new landscaping. She looked pretty cute in front of the water!

Alex and Andrea

Discovery Park was definatly a hit. Alex and Andrea (Alex's friend) loved everything about it, the slide most of all. It was wide enough that both could go down together.
